can any help me with my HD i know what the problem is but don't know how to fix it PROBLEM Is - when i turn on my machine it takes about 2 1/2 minutes to POST when it normally take about 30 sec, its the HD spin up time can you tell me how to fix it

If by POST you refer to the BIOS POST there is little relation to your hard drive at that point.

It would be a BIOS issue.

If it were a hard drive issue there is nothing you can fix mechanically.

You can run your hard drives manufacturers diagnostic tool and if that passes you can run Windows Check Disk.

However neither of these can fix a mechanical problem which you suggest by saying: "its the HD spin up time"
