Question SCSI hard drive and compatibility!

    Hi.
I was recently given an old hard drive. I connected it to my old PC but it would not boot from it. I then discovered that it is a SCSI hard drive. Are certain motherboards not compatible with SCSI hard drives? Do I need to make certain adjustments in the BIOS? My original hard drive for my old PC is not a SCSI hard drive and works fine.

SCSI drives use SCSI connectors - how did you physically install it?

Drivers need to be installed - for XP, this is typically done during the install process when prompted to press F6 to install SCSI drivers.

Thank you Digerati for the guide link. The SCSI drive did connect securely. That seems strange.
