Nothing found on device Manager
Hi guys I am new to this forum and currently trying to help a neighbour with his laptop which is an Acer Aspire 6 series. Basically the problem he has been encountering is from having a perfectly good wireless connection from his laptop to his pc before thus allowing him to print from his laptop, it now returns the error message no network hardware found. So the first thing I did was make sure he was able to access the internet on the laptop he was and all the programs are present and working i.e. microsoft office but when I checked to see if there was some form of a conflict on his device manager, no items came up. I have read tips before regarding ensuring that plug n play and other services have been enabled which they definitely are so now I am a bit stuck. On top of this he told me that his internal digital camera has also stopped working so I hope this isn't a hardware failure. Anyways I was considering restoring his laptop to factory settings, would this be the right course of action to take, or are there other suggestions also.
Cheers guys

Both would appear to be Plug and Play issues.
Here is another post on the issue:

If you have nothing to lose then a factory reinstall should take care of everything.
You may also need an additional CD for drivers and software. Office, for example, is not a standard part of Windows but a separate install.

Thanks for the advice jephree, i have finished applying the factory settings again, the laptop is recognising the wireless router and the device manager and it's contents is now recognised. However it still refuses to connect to the printer which the desktop is connected to.
