I have a problem with my video card (radeon 9600) If I use the most up to date driver, when I play EQ then my comp crashes and reboots. When I load the old driver that came with the desktop it was working fine for a while, but now it will crash and the screen will go black, but I can still move my character and control him, I just can't see. When it does that I also get a VPU recovery error. Does anyone know if this is possibly an overheating problem?

Possible or the card is failing and would soon fail. Try taking the side panel off and putting a fan to the side of the pc on quite powerful. See if it makes a difference. Have you checked what temp the GPU core is running at?
