Hi, I'm new here and I really need someone's expert advice!! What is the best and most cost efficient way to hook up my laptop to my lcd projection TV (sony grand wega)?? My laptop has a standard 15pin Vga input, my TV does not. My options on my TV are:
-HDMI
-Component
-s-video

I bought a vga to s-video cable but it didn't work. I've used s-video in the past so I know how to extend my desktop and such, but I could not get a signal with that adapter. Also, a friend of mine has the same laptop, but has a plasma tv with vga and he had no problems getting it set up. I'm a little out of my element here, but I've heard you can buy converters that look like a box (not a cable) for vga to hdmi. Will this work?? Someone at futurehop also told me I can buy several adapters and run vga to dvi, dvi-hdmi. Will this work?? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks!!
