Cannot install windows xp
I have got one TOSHIBA LAPTOP from CANADA ,

120 GB HARD DISK
1.80 PROCESSOR
1 GB RAM

WINDOWS VISTA already installed , When i try to install XP and on first setep when i press ENTER it show NO HDD DRIVER DETECTED.

Then i install WINDOWS 98 but in the MY COMPUTER not CD DRIVER . Now what i can do.

1: I insert WINDOWS 98


and make PARTATIONS. then i format all drives and install WINDOWS 98.



But when i try to install windows XP. It show at first where it ishow
PRESS ENTER TO INSTALL WINDOWS

PRESS R TO REPAIR WINDOWS.

PRESS F3 TO QUITE.

and when i press ENTER or R it show .


your computer not detected any HARD DRIVE.

I had a similar issue when installing it on my laptop. The problem is that the XP cd does not have the drivers for your hard drive. You need to get the drivers on a disk/cd and install them when you get to that screen that is giving you problems.

Yep download the correct drivers dll inf whatever then when you are prompted press f3 or f6 (i think)to install 3rd party drivers. then you drive should be dectected.
