Hi,

I just bought a Videomate Vista E850F, when I insert it I can no longer boot windows. I get to selecting my OS, and selecting safe mode etc since I don't shutdown properly, then when it should show the loading bar, for vista the simple green one, nothing happens and its just blank and stays that way until I turn it off. I can boot absolutely fine as soon as I take it out and can boot Ubuntu with it in, I'd diagnose the problem from there but I don't know my way around Linux enough to be able to really.

I'm going to install 64-bit Vista soon, to support my 4Gb RAM, but I can't really see that this would help.

I've searched for anyone with a similar problem and tried to email support at compro but the email address is unreachable, so I'm posting in a few forums before I just send it back.

Can anyone offer any help or advice?

As per a question in another forum, I did try it in another slot and got the same result.
