Just wanted to know if you can use your on board sound and a PCI sound card produce sound on two sets of speakers?

Short answer: No.

Short question: Why would you want to?

Attempting to use two sound devices would just cause grief in trying to set up IRQ's and other resources etc, and may cause conflicts. Plus you'd be occupying a PCI slot for a device which you already have (via onboard).

Just choose the best device for its capabilities and use that. If the sound card is better than the onboard device, disable the onboard device in the bios and run the sound card.
