Hi, I'm trying to fix a friends computer but have arrived at a dead end.

When powered on, the monitor is saying theres no video input, and goes to stand by. I have checked the following...

Tried another monitor, same problem.
Tried another VGA cable, and DVI cable, same problem.
Tried putting another graphics card into the computer (AGP), same problem.

So I've established it's not the graphics card, not the cable or monitor. The computer looks (from the inside) and sounds as though it's booting up normally. There's no beeps or anything.

He says it's been doing it for some time, but then ususally fixes it's self after a restart. But we've tried several times with no luck.

Is it possible that the AGP slot on the mother board is damaged?
