Hi all...I am new to this whole computer thing and need some help. I have an HP m8100n. It has an extra "bay" for an external hard drive to slide right in. I bought the 400gig HP external hard drive to add to my comp and everything has worked fine for over a year. Just this week my comp starts to freeze up or hang when the external drive is plugged in. If I try to transfer files it hangs, if I try to run a check disk it hangs. I waited overnight to see if it would ever kick itself through and it deosnt. It just sits there. Can anyone help me out? Oh btw I am using vista home 32
