Hi....

I have 4 Seagate External hard drives and all has been well until now. The newest one, a 750gb pushbutton drive has given me serious problems today.

I have around 700gb of crucial data on it, yesterday the drive was working fine, today it is showing up on my pc and laptop as simply 'local drive'. (It usually is named something like seadrive). When I try to access the 'local drive' it tells me it is not formatted. I have tried to connect it to my laptop, pc and MAC and they all tell me the same thing. Any ideas what to do next? I have to recover this data urgently.

Just to add, the drive has not been moved or damaged. The only thing I have a habit of doing is taking the usb cable out without telling the pC/mac to disconnect first..but it has never failed until now.
