hey. heres my problem. my computer so far has had no video card...ever. so i went out and got myself a video card. and ATI Radeon 9200. well ive been trying to install it but the problem is my computer does not recognized it is there. when i first installed it i plugged my monitor directly into it but when the computer starts up the screen is blank, and when i replace the monitor onto the motherboard slot it would show a screen but there hasnt been any "new hardware found" bubble or anything asking me to install drivers for it. well i do have the drivers but when i install them they end up saying something like..there are no ati products on your computer.
is there some special way to install this darn driver???!?!?!?:idunno:
thanks in advance![]()
Sorry you never got a response for this. Were you able to resolve it?
You did not mention the motherboard so we can't be specific. You need to look in your motherboard manual (or download a new one from the motherboard maker's site) and it will show you how to upgrade to an add-in card, then disable the on-board to free up the system RAM it took.
