    Power Supply current ratings

    Not an electrician here:

I have a graphics card a want to get that recommends:

Minimum of a 250 Watt power supply.
(Minimum recommended power supply with +12 Volt current rating of 18 Amps.)

    My power supply: 250W with...

    Output Voltage *** Min Curr (A) *** Max Curr (A) *** Peak (A)
    +12 VDC *** 1.0 *** 10.0 *** 12.0
    +5 VDC *** 4.0 *** 22.0 *** 12.0
    +3.3 VDC *** 1.0/0.0 *** 14.0 *** 12.0
    –12 VDC *** 0.0 *** 1.0 *** 12.0
    +5 VFP *** 0.0 *** 2.0 *** 12.0

Does this mean I need to upgrade my power supply?

The answer is "YES," you need another one, that power supply is not strong enough.
