My sound card just stoped working after my computer crashed :|
Here is a picture:

I've tried the delete from device manager and then scan for hardware changes option, and tried system restore. Now I'm clueless about why it's not working. Is it something to do with my registry?
Because if it is, then there is no way I can fix it without a technician.

HI, First thing I would try is to download and install a new soundcard driver. If what your screen shot shows is correct then there is a driver for download at this location...
http://www.driversdb.com/device.php?id=73047
Please download and install this to see if it corrects the problem.
Please post back results.

You could also try a System Restore back to a point where it was working.
For a system restore, click Start, Programs, Accessories, System Tools, System Restore. Follow the prompts.
Or a sfc /scannow. You'll most likely need your XP CD. However, with this method your CD should be a "slipstreamed" CD, with up to date files.
