I have a Thinkpad 390e, A dinosaur but it did work. I added more ram (from 64mb to 256mb) no problem it worked great. Then I changed the 3.25 gb hard drive to an 80 gb hard drive. Now it wont work. When I turn it on the IBM and Thinkpad logos come up then the note :F1 for bios and setup. Nothing happens it just goes to blank screen with a square inside a square and then what looks like a padlock and a blinking curser. From that point I cant do anything. PLEASE HELP ME!! I need my laptop.

just haveing a quick google around the machine can only accept upto a combined total of 16.5 GB, try the 3.5GB and see if it starts up OK

It does the same thing with the 3.25 hard drive. I'm gonna have to send it out to be fixed.
