Toshiba Satellite A75

Laptop worked fine originally, with exception to a worn-out power jack. Having done this before on other laptops, I purchased a new power jack, disassembled the laptop, replaced the jack, reassembled the laptop.

PROBLEM:
Black LCD monitor.
No error beeps. The power light and HDD light work fine.

I popped off the laptop case to double check the wires. Both (well, all 3 technically) are plugged in, connectors look fine. Wires look fine.

I checked the "monitor off" switch, nothing forcing it down.

Puzzled!

In Iraq, do not have external monitor to troubleshoot.

Any ideas?

But no, not even a blip or backlight.

Puzzles me as nothing has fried... I even tried the FUNC F5 to make sure it wasn't set for external monitor... no change... I'm pondering replacing the wires... only thing I can think of, although there does not appear to be damage to them, it's a cheap start.
