Making my own computer but i need help.

Ok well Im building a computer for gaming basically and I chose something with an upgradable mother board and this one can take up to 4 gigs of ram and then i got the 2.66 ghz of dual core because i thought it was better then the 3.2 with hyperthreading and I heard this could be clocked to about 4.1 or 4 ghz which is fast enough for me. I chose the video card because I thought it was good but then again im not sure so I need help with video card. The sound card was cheap and Im not a sound entusiastic but its better then the integrated so i chose that and finally Im getting seperatly a gamers case with 4 fan slots and a 500w power box(i forgot what its called i know) I just need to know if all these components will go together and what you would suggest getting better before i actually buy all this stuff. Heres items:

If you are getting a mid tower or full tower case I would not get a micro-ATX motherboard. No need to limit yourself to that size.

Since this board and most any new board will support SATA II hard drives get them (not ATA).

On the overclocking note you might get away with 3.2 > 3.4. Even if you could go over this you would need liquid cooling. However there is no real need to overclock Core Duos outside of bragging.

I see no need at all for a sound card. Most new boards have very adequate high definition audio. Unless you are creating your own music etc.

If you goal is a gaming computer I would research the graphics card in more detail. High end cards cost more that the entire system you list there. The budget for most gaming computers is quite a bit higher than what you are looking at.

    Looking better.

    I would get a pair of Dual Channel RAM 2 X 1GB.

I would never get a "refurbished" hard drive! Never.

You also need to consider the PSU in this case. This is a very important part and will be in the range of another $100 for a good one. Get SLI and Core Duo ready. Enermax is a great manufacturer.

@ 500 Watts will cover almost anything in the range you are speaking about.
