    Major Computer Help Please

I recently had a new computer built and am having a problem where anything I attempt to install ie.. world of warcraft disk 1 takes over an hour and does not even completly install. If I attempt to open an IE window while its installing the system lags out more... I do have VISTA and the following hardware. Looking for any advice possible to help with the problem. Willing to try different things to get moving along but not really sure what to test first. Here are the specs. Any help and advice is great appreciated. I am far past the point of being able to laugh at sarcasm so please be nice.

Did you build it yourself? If not I would contact the builder as I believe they should be responsible for your satisfaction.

That being said: is the problem only in installing this game? Does it work OK otherwise?

Microsoft did just issue a microcode update regarding Intel Core 2 processors:

Thanks for the update. I was trying to install the one game being world of warcraft. After that I installed several other programs that installed without a problem. I took Vista off my computer and reformatted with XP and the computer worked better and everything installed just fine. I have no idea how the OS would conflict with installing that program but it seems to have been the update. Thanks for the patch information also. I guess I am another of the many unsatisified windows vista customers.
