Hi all
Is there anyway possible to check the Hard Disks Internal Properties. I don't mean the capacity of it, like when you click on My Computer/Properties etc, But what I mean is how you check if the HardDisk is 5200 RPM, or 7200 RPM in you computer without opeining your computer and checking it on the Hard Disk Label.Thank You . Max
The only way I could produce the results you requires is to right click 'My Computer' and select 'Manage'. This will open the 'Computer Management' window. Click on 'Disk Management' and then select the hard drive that you wish to find out about and right click and select 'Properties'. Click on the 'Hardware' tab make a note of the hard disk name in the properties window and enter into google. You should hopefully get what you are looking for. If this doesn't work then I'm afraid the top will have to come off so you can get the drive name and type from off the drive itself.
Please post results.
Download, install, and run Everest Home Edition on this machine. (Clean FreeWare)
It may show some details for the drives. I know/remember that Maxtor drives provide the spindle RPM through this program, and Western Digital drives don't. The program will however, identify the make and model number of the drives which you can then Google as Geo2411 outlined.
