Help my monitor wont come on when switch on computer, if computer left on there seems to be no problem. Once computer is turned off it can take up to three days or more before monitor will boot up. Last time this happened actually showed an error something ati2dvag internal error. Looking at buying new computer, but would still like to get photos from this one before dumping it.

Does the monitor LED go to green then switch to amber?

Do you get a message that says "No Signal Input"?

ati2dvag is a driver for your graphics card. You might just need a new graphics card.

Anyway you can always move the old hard drive into a new computer as a slave and access its data.

monitor light stays on green. but nothing eventuates. there is a click sound then nothing just flashing green light. I do get a message that says no signal input but that is only when i unplug monitor from computer

Where do you hear a clicking? From the monitor or computer?

Do you have another monitor you can try?

Do you know if the computer has an on-board VGA port?

What is the make and model of the computer?
