Most likely you have a BIOS setting that reads something like:

    Restart after Power Failure

    Thank you for replying.
Well I have checked my bios setting several times and found no option for this and I have even checked the setting for that in my control panel.......I think I have to do something in regdt.............is there any thing in regdt that could help me????[/B]

    Here's a related thread http://www.techhelpforum.com/showthread.php?t=3211

Under power management is where it should be listed.

Unfortunately I cannot get Chopper's link to work but as he says it should be under the Power tab in the BIOS.

My current board has the options under this heading:

    Restore on AC power loss

Here you can choose Power On or Power Off.

The BIOS is in control here as Windows has not even been started at this point and no settings in Windows are relevant at this point.

After reading your message I have checked my bios setting again and again but there is nothing mentioned about power there. There is written about enabling the screen logo, boot order, quick boot and etc and I have also changed them and checked them but couldn’t reach my destination. I have Samsung M5620 with 933 MHz and it’s made in Korea.

Wouldn't it be easier to just buy a cheap surge protector or some sort of independent power supply?
