    WD MyBook Essential issues...

OK, I am new to this forum and I know that someone here is familiar with these HDDs.

Anyway, I installed the MyBook and it worked fine. When I decided I was going to format it I transferred all my files over and accidently moved the Autorun file that comes on the drive. Now when I plug the drive into the USB port Windows can't find any drivers and I get the error about the device not being installed correctly. Once this happens the drive doesn't show up anywhere so that I can access it. I even went into Drive Management and it doesn't show up. Can someone please tell me how I can either get Windows to recognize the drive as a generic External HDD or transfer the Autorun back to the drive so that it will be recognized by Windows.

Thanks in advance to any help that is provided.

Here is WD's page for that product:

Perhaps they will have the necessary software or FAQ. If not you can always contact them.
