i am new here and fairly new to computers so i hope you can help me i bought a hard drive which had been forrmated to ntfs and all it says when i try and install it is NTLDR is missing am i doing something wrong or is there a fault with the hard drive i realy hope you can help me as i am so frustrated with it

Are you trying to install an Operating System on it?

Or when does this error appear? What exactly are you trying to do with the drive in question?

i am trying to instal a new hard drive at first it said about the NTLDR IS MISSING
now i have half way installed windows xp and it comes up with a blue screen about 50%through the loading of the windows files after it has formated i hope you can help me with this problem as i have had it before and threw computers away thinking they were no good
