    ytd i brought a new motherboard and it does function well.....i install those spybot , ad-ware as post rote but it cause my com to lag abit..ty for ur help .^^

    i don hav a floppy drive in my tower...why my com will lag when using of the msn the programm will freeze for awhile as it is a pend d (current using com)

    Are you familiar with the BIOS Setup?

    Most likely it is default to look for a floppy drive and it doesn't find one so it gives you the error. In the BIOS Setup you can disable the floppy drive and then the motherboard will stop looking for it.

    As to MSN: is that the only problem? What type of Internet connection do you have?

    Also look here:

    Check your Event Viewer via Administrative Tools.

    Open the System as well as Application tabs and look for red X errors that coincide with your problem. Details here:

    So the only problem is MSN Messenger? Or is this another MSN program?

    Did you look in the Event Viewer?

    Did you install XP SP2 and IE 7?
