Building whole new system. after i got everyhting togethre i turned system on, all the fans were running, lights were on, heard cd rom spool for a second, but bios did not come up and i heard nuthing out of cpu or HD. and after 7 seconds the machine shut itself down. i removed ut from the case to make sure i didnt have a short somewhere, had just the graphics card and ram and cpu on mb and cut the machine on again, cpu fan ran and light on MB is running but still no activity. i also got no beeps from the MB but im not sure if it has a speaker on the MB. it is a asus p5n-e board, please help me with this problem.

Are you sure the RAM is compatible? Are you sure the RAM Voltage is set to the board's default voltage?

ok well lets add this one to dumbest easiest problem to solve ever, well since the last time i built a computer u could get by with a single stick of ram, little did i know that i need to PAIR my ram up on this system which basicly all i need to do is buy another matching stick no biggi, thanks for the help but i read the motherboard manuel a little more thorough, i removed the ram and heard beeps so im all good, MB is fine.

well i orderd another gig stick same type as the one i already got when it gets here i will pop it in and see what happens, if i still get nothing im just ganna take it to a shop cause there must be a hardware problem if this dont fix it
