Memory Upgrade on iMedia 1306.
I recently tried upgrading my packard bell 1306 pc's memory to 2gb of PC3200 DDR ram (2 x 1GB sticks) The problem i have is that when both are in together my PC won't boot to windows, stating files are missing, or a blue screen saying something was incorrectly read. But when i use 1 of the sticks alone it works perfect, any suggestions as to why this may be?? also i can use 1.5gb of the same type of memory (using a 512mb stick i already owned) this too works fine, i only have a problem when using the 2Gb sticks

Here is your motherboard:

What is the MHz of the new RAM?
There is a BIOS update to run at 400Mhz.
Many boards will run RAM beyond their specs until you reach the max which in this case is 2GB.
The BIOS update may work here.

The Ram is PC3200 200mhz DDR (400Mhz Total), having read up on the motherboard prior to buying the Ram I felt this was the correct memory needed, I have also updated the bios settings on the motherboard and still had no success, Its confused me as to y one stick of the 1gb and a 512mb stick work fine together but 2 x 1gb sticks crash the pc.
