I have a Soltek SL-K8TPro-939 running with an Athlon64 3500+. I was wondering if I can run a Athlon 64 X2 4400+. I cant find any help anywhere else so any help from someone here would be great, thanks.

I don't see why not. You might need to update to the latest BIOS for the dual core if you don't have it already:
