not sure when this problem first started but i have used cd drive to burn a cd within the last month...but as of today, my tray door will not open...my drive does not appear in my Explorer, and it appears it is not recieving power (possibly)....i have checked the line connections and everything seems to be plugged in correctly...if anyone has any helpfull info on this i would be all ears...but please keep in mind that i am not the smartest when it comes to technical lingo or such, but at the same time i am not new to pc's....ty

Does it flash on boot up?

Is it listed under My Computer?

Is it listed in the Device Manager?

If not is it listed in the BIOS Setup?

Do you have another drive to try? Fortunately they are fairly inexpensive and they do fail from time to time.
