im transfering a presario s4200nx components into a new tower and i have tried 2 different power supplies and the original power switch thtat was attatched to the motherboard and toewr originally asus p4g533-la im pretty sure, one power switch is different and have to put in like in small groupings of 2 and such wires, anywho i hear one of the power supplies a 500 watt dynex i believe, i hear that one make some noise, yet the no fans kick on, not the rear chasis fan nor the motherboard heat sink fan......any helpful sagely advice?:armed:

Did you make both the 24 pin as well as the 4 pin ATX power connections?

If so and the switch plug does not fit the board you will need to get the pin specifications on the HPANEL1 connector and create a matching plug setup.

This info should be in the motherboard manual and then in the Tower manual.

ASUS no longer carries any info on it. Or perhaps just because it is an HP issued board ASUS does not list it on their site.

Have you considered upgrading the motherboard? That model is fairly limited.
