I have a flatscreen monitor with built in speakers and i cant seem to get them to work..any suggestions?

do any other speakers work if connected to the speaker jack on the machine?

yep..sure does...the flatscreen has the speakers built in and there is no other cords besides the screen cable and the power cord.this sucks..i dunno wat 2 do..

does the monitor have a socket to put a speaker plug into.

has the monitor lead got a jack plug on the end for the speakers?

it jus had 2 areas for the power and the blue cable for the comp...but it has 2 spots for a red and white RCA cable

i just found out that my settings are on default monitor, how do i change it to put it on my sylvania? i tried clicking on the advanced settings and selecting different ones but it will not allow me 2 do that.

When i check my device manager ...under other devices it has a "video Controller (VGA COMPATIBLE) " with a big yellow question mark next to it. Do you think that has to do with anything?

maybe the driver is not up to date? and you need a cable to go from jack > Red/White RCA then if those are the only other sockets on the monitor.
