I can't seem to be able to view the pictures from my camera's memory card after inserting it into the memory card slot at the front of the computer.

Do I need to uninstall and re-install the driver. What does the card readers info look like in the system folder under 'hardware devices'?

memory cards come in different formats,
even with a multi reader it may not read your card.
try another card from a friends camera or phone if this works you will need to invest about £15 in a usb cardreader
