i have a ibm thingpad with 256mb ram 700 mhz processor and 20 hd, i bought it with no operating system and yesterday i got a windows xp pro and tryed to boot it on my laptop yesterday but it failed because it was so scratched, now i have a laptop with half a windows xp installed and i tryed to put a brand new xp pro disc in and chose boot from cd and it just keeps goin to the same screen from the scratched disk, is there a way to clean my hd without a os on my laptop or wot can i do
