monitor blinks on but goes black?

monitor blinks on but goes black

Is this a new problem?

Does the monitor have a small LED on the face? Is it Green? Amber? Red? Off?

Do you have another monitor to try?

Do you have another Graphics Card to try?

Was everything working the last time you used the computer? Any problems shutting down the last time? Power Outage etc. ???
