Hdd
Hi everybody, My name is Cyrus, I need some help. I've got an E-machines 370 (which is not the one I'm using now)with a Celeron 1.7 and 512 KRAM. I'm about to replace the HDD which is faulty. The original HD was a Seagate "ST360020A 60gb 5200Rpm" which is now out of production. I was advised to buy an ST3802110A 80 GB 7200 Rpm. I wonder will it really be suitable for my computer? Will the machine work properly? Anyone could Help me? I thank you for your cooperation. Cyrus

yes the machine will work ok, and you'll have a bit more space for data.
have you got the discs that came with the machine to reinstall all the programmes?
are you intending to change the hard drive yourself

Thanks for your Help Brain damage, I was pretty sure everything would be OK but a bit more confirmation does help. I have the restore disk and because I'm quite familiar with hardware I will replace the HDD myself in fact I'm running The Emachines now ( whicch is not the one I'm using) with aSamsung Hdd which I removed from an old Packard Bell. Mind you my first computer was a Commodore C Plus. I really appreciate your help, thanks again, catch U L8R Cyrus
