HELP!!!
I have just put my new Intel Core 2 Duo Extreme X6800 powered pc together and, it's not dead but Ican only power the computer up and use the power reset and that's pretty much it. No Graphics just power, no beeps for post, nothing.

PC Hardware
Processor: Intel Core 2 Extreme X6800:P
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-965P-DQ6
Graphics: EVGA 7900 GT KO Superclocked 256MB GDDR3 PCI-E
HDD: Western Digital Caviar 250GB SATA II 16MB
RAM: 2x1GB GeIL DDRII 667Mhz CL=4-4-4-12
Power: Hiper Type - R Series 580W Modular ATX 2.2 PSU

Can anyone help? I have tried the normal stuff, like taking out the RAM and just powering up with nothing connected just video. I have two options, stripping it down (fourth time) and reseating the processor. And Faling that fitting an old PCI Graphics card tomorrow.

i am having same issue, power is getting to everything, but cpu isnt doing anything and bios is not loading, the monitor is basicly asking if the cable os connected, its all new parts, ive pulled it out of the case to see if it will run, im getting NO beeps, but i have not pulled the ram out to see if it beeps. i posted my problem i just home i get some answers. i to have reseated the processor and ram, pulled it out of the case to make sure i dont ahve a short, because my system is shutting down after running for 7 seconds with no activity
