I just installed a gig of ram DDR. I already had 512. Is it ok to have a gig in one slot and the 512 in the other one. I'm really new to this. Amd 64 processor 3200 2.0GHZ. The reason I ask it seems the system is sluggish on the internet since I installed the meomory. Rerun

U may wanna try putting the gig stick in the slot the 512 was originally in, then put the 512 stick in what used to be your open slot.
I never heard of ram slowing down internet. Instead, u would have the slowness all the time. Be sure your using the same type of ram for both sticks (not to be confused with size of ram).
