Hi my name is Bob Crowe. I just was given a Dell Dimension 4100 computer. It worked last night but this morning I get a message on my monitor reading "Monitor is in power save mode activate using PC" Can somebody please tell me how to get it operating correctly

Hi Bob! Try going to Power Options in the Control Panel. Play around with the settings there. For instance, you can set turn off monitor to "never". Sounds like the hibernate option is enabled.

You might have to do it in safe mode Bob. Tap f8 repeatedly while booting your PC to get in to Safe Mode
