    Wireless?

    Hello eace:

    Many of my friends are having problems with their wireless :nervous:


    Do you recomment a certain kind of wireless or just wait until this system is

    better made?

    They are always complaining about lost signals, crashes and so on....
    many returned to their old systems. eace:

    What do you mean "old systems?" Different OSs? Wired?

    What kind of crashes?

    Their computers just crash or are running real slow...they are very sorry to be now wireless.
    Old I mean cable or phone.

    Wireless technology has definatly matured over the years. A full 802.11G network works pretty well now, although you won't get the same bandwidth you would over wired. While all my PC's are wired, we have a wireless network for the laptops, and it works well. It helps to have newer (Windows XP) PC's, however.

    I have used a wireless network for 2 years with not many problems at all Pedro
    My Router will handle 54 Mbps (roughly 8MB connection) and it hasn't lost a connection for ages now. I used to have a connection problem but that was due to a faulty firmware upgrade. It's all fixed now.
