    Cool Gamma On LCD Laptop??

Has any one any idea how to calibrate a laptop that I can't find the contrast to? Ok, I put the instruction manuals in a safe place and forget the safe place, but the usual 2.2 for windows looks too bright. I am set on 6500 daylight, and that is correct, so no use in me going to warm white.

As I do a lot of PS when I am away, I need to calibrate this thing. I can find the brightness control and all of that, but no contrast or should I go just through adobe calibration and calibrate through there using the sRGB colorspace as a icc profile?

While here, is there also any ideas on how to stop it trying to get on anyone's wireless connection. This laptop even interfere with cell phones, optical mouse, except it's own, and basicially driving me silly.

Vidster, if you read this, I don't know if this monster is such a good thing:eyespop: .........and every one at airports look at me like I am locco. .....well....we leave that part out.

Well, all of my laptops have had built in Gamma controls, so yours may too. Under 'Display Propeties', click 'Advanced'. Look for the maker of your Gfx card in the tabs and click it. The gamma controls should be in there.

Thank you Rob, I know about that gamma, but this one is used for graphics and is more intricate. I might have to ask on a graphics forum. Perhaps this is the wrong place.

It really "is" the contrast that is at the heart of it all. I may have to write to HP......oh well.....

Thank you for at least taking the time. It was appreciated.
