Exclamation Help Needed With Backup Drive Error

In my event viewer, every time I startup, or restart, I see this error....I receive the error at no other time.

    Date: 8/23/2005
    Time: 7:37:33 PM

I am having no problems with that Drive that I can see. It is my backup drive and has NO OS on it; only files, but they are very important files and I am a little worried about burning off that amount of data if the drive will fail during the process.

    Any ideas??????? Please......

Only one other thing seems to be happening, and that is AVG's resident shield is failing to load "quite often", especially during a restart.

depending upon the type of disK it is, this usually applies:
all do the same thing it is when you add a 133 Hard Drive the speed is too fast and the controoller gets the error and then has to back down to match the IDE controller which is ATA 66

Hi Mr Jazzman, thank you for the info so far. I wouldn't worry except it is the first time this has been in the event log [perhaps an xpsp2 new update?] and was better when I didn't see all these scary yellow triangles with "warning"......

The HDD is a "ST340810A [Hard drive] (40.02 GB)" And is Drive\D .....put out by Seagate I think, and main drive C: is a Maxtor 120GB with no problems.

So, going by this, and I have NO page file on the D:\Drive, is it safe to ignore? Or the fact that the path to "MY DOCS" is now located on the Backup [D], could that be causing the error? Only happens at reboot or startup.

The AVG was fixed by downloading a fresh copy and doing an install. Perhaps when going away, my PC is left off too long.........not sure about this....

Well, if you end up telling me to stop looking in the event log, I will.....

safe to ignore, the difference is caused by the speed differences in the maxtor and segate most likely....
