sound is strange / damage laptop?

this is weird....someone sat on my laptop (it was closed) ever since some of my (randomly) MP3 sometime (with no warning) start to play slugish, or produce strange noise. i use my laptop music as playback for my show (i'm a singer ). i guess i got a problem. Help Please. thank you all admin and members of this great site.

Well first off, what application are you using to play the music?

Try it with a different music player(iTunes, Windows Media Player...ect)

I can't see how this could be software related really. Is it the same tracks that have a problem with playback tamidshar?
If the Laptop was working fine before hand i would say that this is a hardware problem.
It could 'possibly' be the sound card overheating.

hi and thanks for the responds...yes, it works fine befors that incident. i think it is hardware too...if its the sound card how hard/easy it is to replace it. btw everything else works fine ( Toshiba Satelite P10 S 429 )

But Rob did someone sit on yours when it quit working?
My hillbilly logic would say its a hardware "CRUNCH" PROBLEM.
