    Scratched up CD's

I have some CDs that are scratched up. Is there a way I can frmove then without buying a scratch removal kit?

There was a post that told how to do it. I believe it was either S7's or Jazzes. But now I can't seem to find it anywhere?

I know vidster said to freeze then but these are pretty bad! I was thinking about using a Dremel! I have a good one. It has variable speed! I buff aluminum for a living, I've also done some plastic and glass! I understand buffing pretty good! I don't want to do that yet. A dremel turns real fast and I'm afread that if I use it, ir will burn the cd! Boes anyone have a Cd duffer! Not one of those that you crank by hand, one that looks like a dremel tool. If so, could look at and tell how many rpm's it turns!

    Thanks

    Ren

    Hiya Ren ;-)
Any CD can be saved as long as the metal strip running through the middle hasn't been damaged.
You'll need a mild abrasive (Some sort of washing powder is ideal), a soft cloth and a lot of patience. The idea is to just 'rub' the scratches out by making circular motions with the powder on the cloth. It takes a while but it works great for me, saved me loads of £'s.
