I have a Sony Vaio laptop (don't recall the model number) and the display has stopped working. I know that the system boots because I can still access it via my wireless network, but the monitor shows nothing at all. I have not attached an external monitor yet, but plan on doing so tonight.
Does anyone have any ideas as to what may have happened to the laptop display?

OK, first thing...and this may sound stupid but I've seen it tons of times. Check the screen brightness first, on Vaio laptops I think its Function key + F5 then use cursor arrows to adjust brightness.
