I have got Inspiron 1420.
Whenever I try to install any OS viz Xubuntu,Windows Vista(Bundled one :Basic),Windows XP my laptop just shutsdown. I am unable to install any of them. Please help

2gb ram
160gb HDD 5400rpm
Nvidia 8400m GS 128MB
