Installation of a new video card playing up, please help!

    Okay, this is weird.

To cut a very, very long story short..

A few weeks back I was playing a game that basically destroyed my graphics card. I took the card out and have been using my onboard graphics card for internet use and such. I bought a new card today and immediately tried to fit it into my motherboard, which it did perfectly. I turned my pc back on and it asked me to plug my screen plug into the new graphics card. Which I did. Then, as windows was just about to start loaded, it crashed and I saw a blink of the blue screen before restarting. So I took the new card out and tried getting into windows by turning my onbard video card on but it now also crashes when loading windows.

Can someone please help, I understand some of that might be abit confusing so i'll clear anything up that is.

    Thank you!

did u check that the new card was compaitable with the hardware you already had?

Could be a fault with the card when u bought it - It does happen.......this could have then damaged other hardware, try removing some ram and restarting and see what you get,

Let us know how u get on

    It's definately compatable, I have a Dimension E520 that has a PCI-E slot. The graphic card I bought was a 9400GT, which is a PCI-E card.

I tried removing and putting the RAM back in but no luck. I can't even access windows, just BIOS. Really, really annoying me now

    Anymore suggestions?
