Live Messenger
Hi,
First off not sure why this should go on here so feel free to move it to the correct location on the forums.
Right, I've been having problems with live messenger so i thought i would uninstall messenger so i could reinstall it and see if the problems (webcam issue) would be fixed. So i failed trying to do this and had to system restore to get live messenger to work. After the system restore, i loaded up msn and signed in where i found something wrong with messenger. It shows the links at the top of msn in the middle of messenger and is stretched along the messenger. This means that my contacts are not showing and is just a plain purple coloured background with no error messages. Due to the useless help you get from msn themselves ive turned to everyone here.
Is it possible that the restore did not restore a certain file that i tried to uninstall?
Help much appreciated. Thanks.

Can be deleted. Solved the problem by reformatting hard drive and reinstalling Vista.

There are other methods of removing software like the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility. I'm sorry it came to that but don't recommend that to other members as the only solution as it isn't and it is the most drastic (last resort) solution.

Yes, it was my last resort. No unistaller worked using whatever program i used.

Okay, another live messenger problem. This times its a webcam issue. Right, for some reason i cannot view webcam with one specific person, i can connect to other people and my friend can connect to other people. Its just me and her cannot get our webcams to connect to each other. It stopped working when i went to eat with the family, returned when my pc was in sleep mode and when i woke it up logged back into msn and webcam stopped working.
Could it be a issue that we use different versions? I use 2008 and she uses 2009. I know 2009 has a lot of problems and this could be the reason why.
We have tried logging off back on and even reinstalling. Nothing happens.
Help appreciated. Thanks
