CPU Temp getting high

Re: CPU Temp getting high
Also just a thought before I forget it:
Does your card require a dedicated power lead and if so have you connected this?

Like I said Jephree, the first thing I do is check in Eevent Viewer log and I see that error but, maybe is just a coincedence. No, I don't use encrypt I studied it in my class but I forgot how to use it. I have been playing COD 4 since it came out on this computer and starting last month is when my computer would act like that. The setting in game I have mostly on default. The only thing I might adjust is resolution. I also play Madden 08 for the PC but, I don't remember having my screen do that.
-
So let's go back to "starting last month".
Do you have Automatic Updates running?
Any idea if the issue starting last month coincided with a windows update?
Any idea if you have a System Restore point prior to this problem?
-
I did have Automatic Updates on then, when I posted this in the other tread I switched to "Notify me but don't automatically dl or install them."
I have no idea but, what I done was, after reading the error is when I changed it.
Okay, I believe I reinstalled XP Pro 32-bit around the beginning of May because I just wasn't getting the feel of XP 64-bit. I like it but, the security issues with other software was just tricky so, I decided to go back to XP 32-bit. So, my restore (first one) May 7th.
-
Have you tried to Restore to May 7?
This process is also reversible should any other issues arise.

No, I haven't done that yet. I don't know if this is a problem but, I notice that I have "Realtek HD Audio Manager running but I am not using my onboard sound because I have my SB Audigy LS in a PCI slot. I might what to make sure in the BIOS that the onboard sound is disabled. I thought my MB 780 sli did that automatic maybe not.
