Which slot is the second slot? Is that the PCI Express x16 or one of the others. Now because of the bandwidth the other won't give you as good a performance. Actually in able to rule out possibilities it is usually best to only make one change at a time. If you change both the PSU and the slot and everything works it is harder to tell what the problem was because it could be that the PSU was the problem, the slot was the problem, or both were the problem. Does that make sense? If you had only changed the PSU and no more problems you would know that the PSU was the problem.

I understand but I had to move a lot of hardware in the PC to make the card fit so I didn't really feel like moving everything again to test the problem.

As of right now it's working so yay!

I have 2 PCI 16x slots so I think I'm ok with performance and such
