I have "lost" Second Life for several weeks as a result of X 1200 not able to cope. Have now installed 3850 which is a massive upgrade but still cannot log to SL. Linden have suggested 2 answers(?)
1. In Catalyst control panel Advanced mode disable A1 in 3D settings. Done, no problem.

2.In the same Control Centre allow Advanced 3D settings to be "Application controlled" by Second Life wherever possible.

I can not find any way to find where on CC I can do this. Help and advice please.

First have to uninstalled and reinstall the drivers? That needs to be done when swapping out cards even if they are from the manufacturer.

Thank u. Will take a while to provide all that but will do so ASP. However, I have exchanged around 15 e mails with Linden Lab -they are first class in responding -and given a vast amount of tech detail plus "ping" results. They put the blame on the X1200
and their mail was the result of my latest 3850 GC. -hence their suiggestion
