    brothers computer went blank

    hello,

My Little brother can't keep his hands off his computer. If it ain't broke dont fix it... anyways. He bought a new power supply for his computer put it in worked fine then he plugged in the extra 4 pin slot so he would have 24 pins plugged in and computer wouldn't start. It turns on no beeps just dont load i have tried unpluggin everything and reseating memory, video card, etc... i even pulled battery out and cleared RTC but it still wont load.
Is it possible he fried motherboard by pluggin in the extra 4 pins?

    What 4 pins?

Are you saying the main line is 20+4? In which case there would be a 20 pin and 4 pin block connected to each other.

This is just to differentiate between the 4 pin CPU line which is a separate lead and needs to be in its place which is not the 20+4 pin port.

What I am trying to determine is whether or not the CPU 4 pin is in place.

This has nothing to to do with the 20+4 pin.

The CPU has a 4 pin dedicated plug.

    Is it plugged in?
